AUDD, a stablecoin, now has separate, sourceable deployments across XDC Network, Hedera, and the XRP Ledger through Novatti. Each is a distinct integration announced by different parties at different times, and treating them as one combined story would overstate what actually happened.
Three separate deployments, not one joint launch
The AUDD/XDC official announcement describes AUDD launching on XDC Network, aimed specifically at payments and trade tokenization use cases. Separately, Ripple’s own writeup covers Novatti bringing stablecoins to the Australian market, with AUDD becoming available on the XRP Ledger as part of that move. And a third, unrelated release covers AUDD launching on Hedera, described there as the first commercial implementation of the Hedera Stablecoin Studio. Three networks, three separate announcements, no indication any of them coordinated as one joint XDC/Hedera/XRPL initiative.
Why that distinction matters
It’s tempting to round three separate stablecoin deployments into one narrative about a multi-chain partnership. That’s not accurate, and it’s worth being precise about it. What’s actually documented is a single Australian dollar-backed stablecoin choosing to deploy on multiple networks independently, likely because different networks serve different use cases and user bases. That’s still a meaningful signal, just a different one: it shows AUDD’s issuer sees enough demand across ecosystems to justify separate integration work on each one, rather than betting the whole product on a single chain.
What it means for XDC
For XDC Network specifically, AUDD targeting payments and trade tokenization use cases fits squarely into what XDC has positioned itself for. A stablecoin built for real payment flows, not speculative trading, gives the network another concrete case of tokenized assets moving from issuance through settlement, which is the same trend covered in the RBA’s Project Acacia final report and other central bank research into tokenization.
