InvestaX has built a real-world asset tokenization business on XDC Network with a Monetary Authority of Singapore license behind it, which puts this in a different category than most tokenization pitches. This is a regulated platform doing regulated work, not a whitepaper promise.
What InvestaX Is Doing
InvestaX runs its tokenization platform on XDC Network, and its work with Plug and Play covers packaging real-world assets, think private credit, real estate, and similar instruments, into digital form for issuance and settlement. Tokenized real-world assets work by representing ownership of, or a claim on, an underlying asset as a digital token that can be transferred and settled directly on a blockchain’s ledger. Done properly, that can collapse settlement times from days to near-instant and create a single, shared record of who owns what, instead of the current patchwork of custodians and transfer agents reconciling separate books. The InvestaX, XDC, and Plug and Play article lays out how that partnership works, and InvestaX has also partnered with Cactus Custody to handle the safekeeping side, detailed in its MAS licensing writeup.
Why the MAS License Matters
A Monetary Authority of Singapore license is not a rubber stamp. Singapore has built one of the more rigorous regulatory regimes for digital asset businesses in Asia, and firms operating under MAS oversight have to meet capital, custody, and disclosure standards that unlicensed platforms simply do not. That is the difference between a tokenization project and a tokenization business institutions can actually work with.
What This Means for XDC Network
For XDC, this is the kind of activity that gives a blockchain network a real role in capital markets rather than just a speculative trading pair. As the Bank for International Settlements has written, tokenization’s promise is in unifying issuance, trading, and settlement onto a common programmable layer. A regulated platform like InvestaX running on XDC is a concrete example of that thesis being tested with real assets and real compliance requirements, not just a proof of concept.
The caveat worth keeping in mind: a license and a partnership do not guarantee volume. Whether InvestaX and XDC end up moving meaningful amounts of real-world assets is still something to track, not assume.
