A presentation on the XDC Network‘s trade infrastructure was hosted directly on ESCAP’s site as part of that program. That’s a specific, checkable fact: a UN body hosted and published a presentation about XDC’s trade infrastructure, not a marketing claim from the project itself.
Why paperless trade is the real target
Global trade documentation, bills of lading, certificates of origin, letters of credit, still runs largely on paper or on systems that don’t talk to each other across borders. That’s the exact problem the GLEIF/ICC report on key trade documents is aimed at solving: giving digital trade records the same legal standing and cross-recognition paper has always had. A blockchain network’s usefulness here comes from being a shared, verifiable record that different parties, banks, customs, shippers, can all trust without a single party controlling it.
